Adam Cwejman, ordförande i Liberala ungdomsförbundet, tycker att ungdomsförbund kan vara ganska oseriösa, men menar att man kan man bli tagen på allvar om man arbetar med en målmedveten och seriös ton.
När man vill nå ut snabbt är bloggar det bästa sättet anser Adam Cwejman. En kombination av traditionella medier och sociala medier är däremot det han ser som det bästa sättet att nå ut.
– Mitt favorittsätt att nå ut är att få ut en debattartikel som man sedan fortsätter diskutera på sin blogg. Då kan man fördjupa och få igång en diskussion.
Att bli tagen på allvar som ungdomsförbund menar han är lätt så länge man arbetar målmedvetet.
– Ungdomsförbund kan vara ganska oseriösa och sensationalistiska. Vårt moderparti är ju ett maktparti och vi är lite som deras lilla kompis, man tar inte oss på lika stort allvar. Det kräver att man har en ton som är allvarlig för att bli tagen på allvar.
Maktlösa när man inte talar om moderpartiet
Adam Cwejman upplever att ungdomsförbunden saknar makt när det kommer till att lyfta frågor i media, men att de genom sitt samarbete med FP får en viss makt att styra vad de vill ska hamna på agendan. Vidare upplever han, likt Hanna Wagenius i en tidigare intervju, att ungdomspartier oftast får uppmärksamhet när de talar om saker som berör moderpartiet.
Ett exempel han tar upp är när han tillsammans med CUF:s fd ordförande Magnus Andersson skrev ett inlägg på Newsmill där de uttryckte att C och FP borde slås ihop.
– Vi fick uppmärksamhet för att vi pratade om vårt moderparti, men samtidigt var det en väldigt radikal fråga.
Efterlyser en mer konstant debatt
När det kommer till vad Adam Cwejman saknar i medierna idag tar han upp integritetsfrågan som han anser förtjänar en mer konstant mediedebatt.
– Integritetsfrågan kommer och går. Det är väldigt mycket upp och ner. Jag skulle vilja att man insåg att det är en samhällsfråga som är ofrånkomlig.
LUF har inte någon långsiktig mediestrategi, annat än att de försöker att förmedla sina tankar jämnt mellan olika plattformar, berättar han. Förbundet lägger också stor vikt på att veta var den de söker befinner sig.
– När vi ska tala med våra medlemmar går vi via facebook, för det är där de finns. Vill vi nå ut till andra inom opinionssvängen går vi via twitter. Sedan kan man även gå genom traditionella medier när man vill nå ut till andra arenor. Utöver det har vi ju bloggandet.
